Friday 6th June - walk ***** – Christchurch Park in Ipswich –
sunny periods and showers.
Friday is Maeva day so after picking her up we headed over to my Dads
bungalow in Ipswich to do some weeding with my sister which went really
well:) Then we went to Christchurch Park and were lucky enough to get a
parking spot right by an entrance. We walked round the edge leading to our
favourite bench near the old bowling green for a picnic and were quickly
surrounded by a dozen squirrels keen to share our lunch after they quickly
finished the peanuts we took. We meet a lovely young family with their son,
he was over from the USA and he quickly restored my faith that not all
Americans are idiots!!! He was polite, well spoken and a pleasure to have a
chat with and was positive that America can recover from the numpty Trump!
The picnic went well and as dark clouds were appearing we decided to move
on to see the ducks at the wilderness lake, there were several including
manderians, a family of geese, mallards, gulls, pigeons, more squirrels and
a solo rat! We had a little shower but it quickly passed as we made our way
back to the van as Maeva dozed off! We had a nice hour at home where Mag
had a nice cuddle with Maeva before taking her home, another top Friday
with the Granddaughter!
